Travel Haven grew out of something very simple — the way we choose places for our own holidays.

For years, we searched for that special place where we could truly feel at ease. Sometimes the photos looked wonderful, but the reality was different. Other times, the place was pleasant, but you could feel that compromises had been made when it came to quality, comfort or the little details. And sometimes we found somewhere we really liked, returned the following year, and discovered that it was no longer the same.

That was when we decided to create the kind of places we had always hoped to find ourselves.

We have one very simple rule: the place we choose for a holiday should feel at least as comfortable and welcoming as home.

For us, there is little point in going to the seaside or the mountains if it means compromising on comfort, cleanliness or atmosphere. A holiday should bring a sense of ease. It should feel good to wake up there, to stay a little longer on the terrace, to come back in the evening and simply feel comfortable.

That is exactly the idea behind every Travel Haven home.

Whenever we furnish, change or improve something, we always ask ourselves the same question:

“Would we genuinely want to spend our own holiday here?”

And in fact, we do.

We stay in our properties ourselves.

It is the best way to understand what may be missing, what could be more comfortable, and what can still be improved. Some things only become obvious when you actually live in a place for a while — whether there is a comfortable spot for your morning coffee, whether the kitchen really works well, whether the bed is truly comfortable, or whether those small details that make a stay more enjoyable are all there.

That is why we never see our properties as something that is simply furnished once and then considered finished. They continue to evolve.

When a guest comes back to us a year later, we want them to find everything they loved the first time — and, whenever possible, something more.

That matters to us.

We do not want Travel Haven to be just another place someone books once and then forgets.

We want to create homes that people genuinely want to return to. Places that, over time, begin to feel like their own — a favourite terrace by the sea, a family holiday that becomes a tradition, or that familiar place in the mountains where you already know what is waiting for you.

Over time, some of our guests have become exactly that — people who choose to come back.

For us, there is no greater compliment.

Because it means that one of our homes has stopped being simply a place for a few nights and has become their place to relax and recharge.

Travel Haven is not a large hotel chain, and we have no ambition to become one. It is a small collection of holiday homes that we know personally, stay in ourselves, and care for with one simple idea in mind: every stay should be at least as good as the one before.

And, if we can, a little better.

Because we believe the best holiday place is the one you want to return to.
